It always amazes me at how many misconceptions there are about Christianity. Like if you say sorry for anything bad you've done you're good to go. And people always say "So you could murder someone, say sorry and then it doesn't matter." People never think about the fact that you have to MEAN it. You won't get away with just saying it, you have to actually feel sorry. And even if you do repent and mean it, you still have to answer for what you've done. Judgement day applies to all.

Lies, all lies!!!
I hate all the Zero coke products- coke, Dr Pepper etc.
Same great taste?? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
They taste foul!!! How can they advertise using such a blatant lie?? They don't taste like the proper versions. Bleurgh!!!
And, as a girlfriend, should I have a 5 year plan?? Because as far as I'm aware, I don't.
Marketing lies Coca Cola? Tut tut tut *shakes head*

Make life easier for the masses!
Next time you fill out a form, please remember someone else is going to have to read it!!
The person who has to input the information on the form (e.g. me) doesn't want to have to spend 10 minutes trying to decipher a terribly written name or post code!
I never thought much about it before I was one of the people who has to do the deciphering. You will be able to read your writing, but that does not mean anyone else will be able to! If it says so (or if you're writing is messy!), please use capitals!! It is SO much easier to read!
it amazes me how people can make something such as RG10 look like a scrawling mess of...I don't know. Mess, I guess.
And fill in the form properly!! If it asks you for your details, don't just put your surname in! Hoob!
Okay, rant over!

Look What Happened
And I swear it's the last time and I swear it's my last try
And we'll walk in circles around this whole block
Walk on the cracks on the same old sidewalks
And we'll talk about leaving town
Yeah we'll talk about leaving
I swear it's the last time I swear it's my last try
We rode across that bridge all night
We talked our way through city lights
Traced all the lines, we're killing time
Under those buzzing signs
From downtown to anywhere but here
Tonight yeah I swear to these rooftops
And just hoped that car would never stop
And I swear it's the last time and I swear it's my last try
And we'll walk in circles around this whole block
Walk on the cracks on the same old sidewalks
And we'll talk about leaving town
Yeah we'll talk about leaving
I swear it's the last time I swear it's my last try
We drove around this place all night
Past closed signs and familiar sights
We're moving by passing time
Counting those center lines
With 20,000 lines left to go
That lead to somewhere I don't know
It might be the time that we leave this all behind
And I swear it's the last time and I swear it's my last try
And we'll walk in circles around this whole block
Walk on the cracks on the same old sidewalks
And we'll talk about leaving town
Yeah we'll talk about leaving
I swear it's the last time I swear it's my last try
There's been a few times
That we thought it felt right
To take all the westbound signs
And just leave town tonight
And I swear it's the last time and I swear it's my last try
And we'll walk in circles around this whole block

Yeah we'll talk about leaving

I once was lost but now am found...
Last Thursday, I think, I lost one of my rings. I knew it was in the house (luckily) so it was just a matter of finding it. I looked downstairs where my other rings had been and it wasn't there so I was pretty sure it must be upstairs (I'd been putting my jewellery on upstairs while I was listening to the Orson Singing Telegram- nothing short of genius! Especially the one where the guy dumped his cheating girlfriend- before going to work)but I'd look and couldn't find it. I asked God to help me find it and also asked Tobes to put it somewhere I'd see it if he found it as it was important to me and I wanted to find it.
Last night when I was getting ready for bed, I saw something shiny on my bed. It was my ring! I'm pretty much 100% positive it hadn't been there before as I would've noticed it and I'd looked for it on my bed on Friday. YAY! How cool, I love it when that kind of thing happens.

Captain Jack is back, baby!
I remembered something I was going to tell you about yesterday....on Wednesday night I had a dream I met Mike Patton! It was sooooo cool! Wish it was real *sigh*
Also, as you might have guessed from the title of this particular post, I went to see Pirates of the Carribean 2 yesterday- so good! Longer than I expected but I can't wait to see the 3rd one now! I want Captain Jack's hat! It's sooo cool!
If you liked the first one, see the this one! If you didn't like the first one (you nutter), see it anyway...it's worth it to see Johnny Depp! Surely no one can resist the pull of Captain Jack?

"The nerve of that guy and his driving eyeballs!"
Okay, I realise I haven't posted here for a fair while now. There were a few things I wanted to mention last time I was online but I got busy doing other things and...well...now I've forgotten them. If I do remember them anytime in the near future, I will blog them. For now, however, just a catch up.
So...what has happened since I last blogged?
Firstly....I have a temporary job in Crapville! Yep, I have joined the masses of Data Entry-ers. Wildy exciting it may not be, but it is money (which I definitely needed) and all in all it isn't a bad job to be doing. Besides...it beats Crappards hands down.
Secondly...I've had another interview. I don't want the job but knowing me they probably wouldn't offer it anyway! It's not that the job in itself seems bad, just the hours- shift work (bleurgh), starting as early as 6:30 and ending as late (not that it's late in general, just to be working) as 11, plus weekend working. Not on my watch, soldier!
I got a call about another interview a couple of days ago but they want me to have it on Monday so that isn't going to happen but I deliberately didn't arrange to get the time off work: a) I may be down south soon for another interview so I didn't want to get back then be off again b) she said the time slots were going quickly so there must be a lot of people they want to interview and c) It isn't in there office, it's in a hotel which makes me think it's not a normal question/answer type interview, thus I'm not interested. Hmmmmmmmm I should probably have called her back. Oh well.
I think that pretty much covers everything, apart from the fact one of my friends is driving me nuts but Stef knows all about that and I won't bore the rest of you with it.
Hope all is well in each of your worlds,

Isn't comedy supposed to be funny?
What happened to Radio 4 having good comedy shows on at 18:30 on weekday evenings??
Let's see....
Monday is Just a Minute which is still good.
Tuesday is Bearded Ladies which is one of the most predictable, least funny comedy programmes I think I have ever heard on Radio 4. It's so rubbish, I can't quite believe it. All the good comedy talent in the world, where they did they scrape this show from?? In half an hour, no one at the table laughed once. Not even a little bit. That must be good comedy, huh?
Wednesday is The Personality Test, which is where they have a different guest presenter every week and the panel (Sue Perkins- is that her name?-, and a couple of others who I can't remember off hand. One is Lucy someone, who's entire purpose on the panel appears to be to flirt with the presenter) have to answer questions about them. For instance, the presenter gives the name of a person and then the panel have to guess whether they like or hate them. I'm going to admit that this show does have a few giggles along the way but I do think it's a pretty weak idea for a show. It would probably be better if it was presented by someone I cared about, this week for instance it was Greg Dyke. Woo-hoo.
Thursday is Political Animal, which is quite good though it would be better if it was just the comedians involved without the rubbish bits in between.
Finally, Friday is The Now Show (a satrical sketch and stand up show) which has it's moments and can be excellent at it's best.
All in all....Radio 4...where did it all go wrong?

Never Take Friendship Personal
Wow. What an album. If you're Stef, you will have heard me saying how much I love this album. And I DO love this album. You know it's going to be a great album when you're hooked by the middle of the first song!
The first track is the title track and a great song to kick the album off with! Apparently this track is to a member of the band they had to kick out because he was in the band for totally the wrong reasons (if you're going to join a band for sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll...best not to join a Christian one, hoob!)and when he left he said "Write a song about it" or something. So they did. And what a song!
The second track, Paper-thin Hymn was written about the writer's (I'm going to assume it's Stephen Christian, though I'm not totally sure) grandma. It's a beautiful track, with some great lines. The ones I find myself singing most often are:
"Who's gonna call on Sunday morning?
Who's gonna drive you home
I just want one more chance
To put my arms in fragile hands"
This is one of my favourites on the album. The next track, Stationary Stationery is another favourite of mine on the album. My third favourite is track 8, The Feel Good Drag. I loooooooove this song. In fact, in less than a week since I first heard it (in fact, 3 days!), it is already one of my favourites songs. The rest of the album follows the high standards of the title track. Excellently written and played.
About to go into the studio again, Anberlin are a force to be reckoned with. With such great lyrics and music, and Stephen Christian's great voice making each track complete, they are definitely one of my favourite bands. And long may they remain!
Definitely 5 stars for this album!
Okay, so this wasn't a particulary great review, I will finish with 4 words though... I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!

I don't even LIKE George Clooney!
I had a really weird dream last night.
It started off outside in the lovely warm sun (I'm not sure where we were, in the park I guess) and then a couple of the guys were going back to work (at the Town Hall) and asked if I was coming. At first I said I was going to stay with my friend(it was a girl from school called Pippa, I wouldn't exactly call her a friend in real life) but then I said that I'd go just to let my supervisor know why I couldn't continue working there.
I ended up spending the day there. At first it was all the normal things, then suddenly Pippa was posessed by a demon and it all went wrong from thereon in. When the demon had possessed her her face started to scab over (you know the Simpsons when Homer injures his knee and starts a day centre? It was like when his knee is scabbing over, but less cartoon-ish)but I was told if I kept talking to her normally she would return so I did, and her face immediately stopped scabbing.
Then I was at home with the demon floating around the ceiling after commanding it to leave Pippa's body.
Later on in the dream I was washing the car (mum and dad had gone away- not sure how as they'd left the car at home), and I popped inside to get something. When I went outside again, the car had been stolen. D'oh! I went inside to tell Tracey and Martin, and they didn't believe me. Tracey went outside to look but the dream moved on before she did anything. Meanwhile, neither of them had noticed the shadowy "soul" type creature hovering near the ceiling!
Next up Mum, dad, Tracey, Martin and I had gone away and were staying in the hotel where, you guessed it, George Clooney was staying. Bare in mind here that I have NEVER fancied George Clooney and to be honest, don't get what the deal with him is. Anyway, for some reason I decided to sneak into his room to leave him a present I'd bought him specially. I managed to do that and then I went back to my room (which was conveniently situated next door to his). I believe this was meant to be a budget hotel in the dream but the room was amazing! It was a bedroom/bathroom all in one room. The bathroom bit had a toilet (obviously) and a shower but also a spa with loads of settings (I tried them out later in the dream and probably ended up with water everywhere!) and a CD player actually in the bathroom area. I didn't really spend all that much time in the rest of the room but I know that had a CD player too. Mum said to meet her in the Tigger Room (it was a play area with waterslides etc for kids but apparently it was "fun for adults too" so we were all meeting up there)after I'd finished getting ready so I went in the spa and was messing around with the controls. I couldn't figure out how to get them back to where they should be though so I decided to go to the Tigger Room to meet everyone else instead, and left the spa running!
And that was when I woke up. Bizarre!

"Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough"
Is there anything more annoying than someone who wears a band's t shirt without knowing anything the band has done?? (Okay, so there is but you have to admit that is pretty annoying)
I was listening to Vernon Kaye on Radio One this morning while I had a shower and Brian Dowling (I think that's his name), the guy who does the entertainment news, said he was wearing an Iron Maiden t shirt so Vernon asked him to name one album by Iron Maiden. Brian replied "So...England are playing today. Isn't it lovely weather?" (or something along those lines).
I see this day in, day out with all the stupid emos out there who know crap about music and just want to look "cool". DON'T wear the t shirt if you don't know the band. Stick to the t shirt of whatever crappy band you DO listen to. I don't care if you want to look cool, I don't care if you have plans to listen to them one day, I don't care if it was a hand-me-down- DON'T WEAR IT IF YOU DON'T LISTEN TO THE BAND.

"I AM holding still! I AM squirming!"
"What became of everyone I used to know..."
One of my "friends" (we haven't spoken for ages, so I guess you can't call him that) signed onto MSN a bit ago- I've spoken to him for 3 or 4 years now and he has changed SO much. He used to be a really sweet, kinda innocent, nice guy, now he's....well, firstly he's an emo. And secondly...he isn't sweet anymore. And not a particularly nice guy, from what I remember from the last conversation we had- it isn't that he's particulary horrible, just...not all that nice. And definitely not the guy I used to speak too. I understand that people change, of course they do, but does that mean they have to change completely??
It's happened with a lot of the guys I used to know- especially the whole becoming emo thing *rolls eyes*
