Kicking out of that prison...

I handed my notice in at work yesterday. Ooooooooooooooooooooh boy does that sound great!!!

Today was my last Wednesday at Crappards. Not a lot happened. Well, nothing different. Zoe said that she'd sort out of my cheques and find out what holiday I'm owed (I think it will be a grand total of 0 as I had Monday and last Friday off) and that she'd email me when she'd sorted it all out. I didn't have a chance to check my emails this afternoon though so I don't know if she did or not.
The post took aaaaaaages today and (for reasons that I wont go into) I wanted to get home asap more than ever. *sigh* That's always the way, eh?? I don't like doing the post with Claire, I always end up taking the DX, which I hate. Luckily there weren't too many packages. Lots of letters though. Michael was on his way out when I got back to put the trolley back in the office so he held the door open for me, which was nice of him! What a gent! (He's also fighting for us to get a new post machine, not that it will affect me!)

Davina was back today (she was off yesterday). Luckily for me, she wasn't being too bad today. Sara Ric...I mean Sally Pasta was being her usual self though. she's pretty much a younger (and smaller, more alcoholic) version of Davina, so that wasn't fun. Sara was annoying...wait, did I say Sara?? I meant Sally. Sally was annoying me soooo much today. Luckily for me, I only have a couple more days left to put up with her for!

Anyway, that was my last Wednesday over and done with. Counting down until I can leave...7 days....

Alcoholics Annoymous

This is the sad tale of Sally Pasta*. She was just an ordinary girl. She lived at home with her parents but didn't get on with them so started to spend her time away from home. She started to go out drinking every night. By the age of 17 she couldn't go for more than a few days without feeling the need to have a drink. She found herself a boyfriend who worked in a pub. She started using him as an excuse to go drinking, saying that is was his fault she got drunk when he wasn't around because he wasn't there to stop her and when he was around he bought her the drinks. She didn't try to stop and made the only social life she had around the pub. She drank vodka, knowing that vodka made her stressed out and aggressive.

Eventually she became a full on alcoholic, by the age of 19 her liver was losing it's function as the alcohol poisoning took effect. A transplant is needed but no one is sure if even that will be enough.

The moral of this sad tale is that drinking in excess isn't big and it isn't clever, kids!

I think I just predicted the future of one of the girls at work! *PATHETIC*

My life in movie form...

The Movie Of Your Life Is A Cult Classic
Quirky, offbeat, and even a little campy - your life appeals to a select few.
But if someone's obsessed with you, look out! Your fans are downright freaky.

Your best movie matches: Office Space, Showgirls, The Big Lebowski
If Your Life Was a Movie, What Genre Would It Be?

What do you think?? True? Or crap??

I think the fan bit is right, much to my disappointment...*giggles*

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooulch!

Why do people insist on asking me to look behind me when my neck is hurting??!

"No song that I could sing but I could try for your heart..."

So....another amazing weekend with Stef drew to a close (at an earlier time) on Sunday. *sigh*

Brief overviewL
Friday:

I finished work (as always these days, stressed out) and went to meet Stef outside Waterstones (as arranged) where he...........wasn't. Turns out he was still at the trainstation so I met him there, where we waited with Russ for his train before we headed back to mine.
We spent a lovely ( a mon avis, at least) evening watching TV and playing with my Christmas presents (I got a radio controlled Mini amongst other things!).
When we got back to Tracey's we watched TV until she went to bed (Duncan was upstairs playing on the computer) and then we put a DVD on (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) before we went to bed.

Saturday:

We had a late start then we went to Pizza Hut for lunch (as usual, it took ages!) before going to town. We spent aaaaaaages going around town (I bought an MP3 player. Yay! It's a bean!!), which was sooooooooooooooooooo cool!! There is no one finer to go into town with!
On Saturday night there was an Untamed gig so we picked Lizzy up on the way and went to that which was soooooooooooooooooooo cool! They're so talented! Shame the woman at the bar wasn't but oh well (never have the house Vodka at The Comet....ewwwwwwwwww!). The set was great (some new stuff as well, which is always cool!) and it was a really good night. We hung around for aaaages afterwards too (Martin wanted to speak to people). I got a kiss on the cheek from Colin! (The others didn't speak to me, as usual!). My neck is soooooooooooo painful- too much headbanging!

When we got back we watched Stepford Wives, which was cool. Our hearing was a bit muffled though so we had to have the subtitles as we couldn't turn it up too loud (Tracey was in bed)! After that we went to bed.

Sunday:

We got up late again and watched TV for a while before going to mine for lunch, which was, as always, sooooooo yummy! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Chicken! After lunch we sat in the living room for a while until the others came in and then we pulled a cracker each (left over from Christmas) and had Ferrero Rocher then Stef had to go. We said goodbye (I was in tears for most of the afternoon and it came to a head then) and after he left I went straight upstairs to my room and spent most of the night in tears again. *sigh* It's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard watching him go. For the past 6 months or so I've been in floods of tears everytime.

"I feel so broke inside but I'll devote my life to loving you"

I felt soooooo awful when I woke up this morning. The first thing I thought was "I can't survive this." No matter though, I have to survive it. Maybe that's the best way...if I can't back out of it, if I'm trapped in this corner (albeit one I REALLY don't want to be in), then I have no choice but to get on with it (kicking and screaming all the way if necessary). Still...I hate feeling so crappy 5 days a week.

"I just need this
To be alright
I can't feel this
Another night
I can't take this
I've come unglued
I might break down
In front of you
Necessary to medicate
I'm not sleeping
Can't stay awake"
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Eh?

What is it about lyricists these days??? Not only do you have your crap like Black Eyed Peas, etc but you also have the lines that make no sense whatsoever! A few examples would be...

  • "My heart can't possibly break when it wasn't even whole to start with"

From Kelly Clarkson (I think the song is called Because Of You but I'm not totally sure)

If you break a biscuit in half (i.e. so it isn't whole), can you not break it anymore??

  • "People are all the same and we only get judged by what we do"

From the Sugababes (I think the song is called Ugly)

Would you rather get judged by what you look like?? How rich you are? What clothes you wear?? Where you live??

  • "I'll play Bobby and you'll play Whitney"

From said crap, Black Eyed Peas- Don't Phunk With My Heart

I presume it would be Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston...didn't Bobby Brown beat Whitney up??? What exactly does he want from this relationship??

  • "I love you more than sex appeal"

From the above crap song.

Just...eh?? That's all I have to say about this line. If someone said that to me, I would not be impressed, I'd be walking the other way!

*sigh*

The Daily Telergraph Article 2

The Daily Telegraph Article 3

why do none of these surprise me?? And how sad is that???

I hate this world, as full of crap as it is.

And men...cheeeeeeeeeeeeese. Don't get me started on men. Men SUCK! (The relevance being, of course, that the stuff happened because of men. Though of course women aren't perfect either, there are more pathetic- and you don't do things by halves, do you?- men than women. And it isn't just me who thinks that!)

Even if you ever would cave in...I wouldn't know where to begin...

Okay...new year, new resolutions.

My resolutions this year are as follows:

  • To finish reading through the Bible

I admit that it is sometimes very hard work and on occassion I have had to force myself into it, but by this time next year, I want to have finished it! That will involve reading it more than I have been doing but...well ladies and gents, it has to be done!

  • Survive work

That's pretty much self explanatory.

  • Exercise more

I've never been into diets or anything but I do want to start doing a bit more excercise as while I was at the council I was up and about for most of the day and at Crappards I'm not. It's not like I feel like I desperately need it or anything (I do get a little bit of exercise at work and I work there and back) but I would like to do a bit more. A couple of nights a week for an hour or so or whatever. I'm thinking of getting one of the excersise DVDs where it's basically just a dance routine, as I like dancing!

  • Let Stef know how I feel about him more often

I just don't want to take him for granted or anything, you know?
