"You do the sleeves and I'll get the axe"
A lot of changes have been happening over the past few months though and blogging has dropped down on my priority list. If anybody is reading this though, let me know and I will put more of an effort into blogging more regularly. Seriously guys, if I have an audience let me hear about it!
So...what has been happening I hear you cry *waits for said statement to be uttered*
Firstly, work. Work is going okay, I guess. We have loads of temps in (getting near tax year end, our busiest time) but at the moment the work load is small so every time a bit of work comes into the work queue we fight for it like vultures fighting for scraps of a carcus! If you haven't picked it up within a 10th of a second, give up kiddo, you've lost it. The temps are allowed to read if there is no work in the queue and I've been quite tempted to do it at times but I'm not sure if I'd be allowed so I've been writing notes and parts of my "book" (I'm going to set up a blog for that shortly - I know, seems a bit daft considering I can hardly keep up with this one but it will be purely about me writing my book- I'll post a link when I've set it up)and that's kept me busy on and off. Hopefully it will pick up soon though.
Secondly, I've been having driving lessons again. Great, right? LMAO! Nothing is EVER that simple for me!I started having lessons with a guy called Phil in a Corsa. I had a couple of lessons but I just couldn't get on with his car. Wait, that makes it sound like I had an argument with it and couldn't get past it. The problem was that the clutch travelled waaaay too much and I had to really stretch and I still couldn't get it down all the way so it just wasn't working. He phoned the office and they got another instructor for me and he phoned me to see what times when I'm available but he doesn't work evenings or weekends. I guess I'll just quit my job then, shall I?Anyway, he spoke to the office and they got another instructor to call me, Gavin.........he has a Corsa. I said I didn't get on with Phil's car (though I'm not sure he had a clue who Phil is) but he said to give it a go and I, stupidly, said yes. I only said yes because he sounded so nice. My lesson is on Friday after work which is a horrific time but as I'm not expecting it to go past one lesson (I'm not even expecting to have a full lesson) I can put up with it. We'll see how it goes.
My height seems to be a major issue at the moment. I brought an Iron Maiden jacket from their website and when it eventually came it was huuuuuuuuge (despite being a "small". I suppose that was meant to be ironic). I hate not being able to get clothes and shoes etc. If I was an emo I'd be in heaven but I'm not and I don't want to dress like I am.It really bothers me. It makes everything so difficult. Like driving...I'm so worried I won't be able to get a car I can learn to drive in. Stef's daddy Steve said I should buy a Mini (an old one, I want a black one) and learn to drive in it and if it was just a matter of buying one I would but it's all the running expenses - tax, insurance, petrol etc. I can't afford to spend all of that on a car I wouldn't be able to drive very often.
You know what? Stef is the only person who has made me feel like it really, honestly, truly doesn't matter. And that deserves an award because it really does bother me so much.
