Hall of Fame: I Barely Knew Thee
Okay, so famous people are always getting recognition for things they do so I thought it's about time non-famous people did as well. Once a week (or whenever I get round to it) I'm going to be doing a Hall of Fame for that week (or fortnight...or month...or...yeah, as I said, whenever I get round to it). They may even have a theme...I know, I'm totally insane. Let's go crazy. Woo. Hoo. So yeah, this weeks entrants are as follows (and please feel free to add your own):
First up...
SilentPrayer.
SP is in the Hall of Fame this week for her support and continual positivity during my job search. Much appreciated, I am humbled!
SP has been so supportive and has really helped me through the long, long months of job searching that I have done. She has been there for me and has prayed for me and has generally be very nice!
Welcome to the Hall of Fame SP!
Second entry...
W.H. Smith Guy.
On Tuesday I went to WH Smith to collect my Horrible History book (free with the Daily Telegraph!) and the space between the tills and the display/barrier behind it. I headed towards the available till and the guy at the till before the till I was heading to (keeping up?) was leaving that till and there wasn't room for us both to get past. He saw me, graciously stepped back, gave me a huuuge smile and let me past. Not much I know but chivalry always impresses me greatly. And who said it was dead?? Not as common place maybe, but not dead. Not yet anyway. (While I'm on the subject, an honoury mention should be made for Tesco Guy today, who let me past with a smile but his act just didn't seem quite so chivalrous, perhaps because he didn't flash me such a big smile!)
Step up the to Hall of Fame, W.H. Smith guy!
And finally for this week...
Jack Black.
(I know I said this would be about non-famous people but sometimes famous people will be included. Deal with it, move on. Done? Good good, and now onward...)
I watched School of the Rock for the first time in aaages on Tuesday night. What a film! And kudos to Mr Black for making me laugh when I definitely could do with it! I don't really think I need to say much else, Jack Black rocks!
And this has got to be the best recognition you could have, right Jack? Congratulations on entering...The Hall of Fame.
That's all for this week. If you want to add your own, feel free.
You are now leaving the Hall of Fame...please close the door on your way out. It gets a bit drafty in here.
